Gyms

There are many gyms located throughout Washington DC and the surrounding areas. Each has its own style, look, and feel. Some provide excellent professional trainers, some provide on-site spas and salons, and some are targeted specifically towards certain demographics, such as women.

Click on the quadrants below to see which gyms are located in each area. Note that many gyms, such as WSC and Vida Fitness, provide “passport” access for a small additional fee that allows you to use all their locations throughout the city. This can add a great convenience so that you can use multiple gyms that close to work, school, and home.

Cell Phone

Whether you’re keeping your old number, or need a new cell phone number and service when you move to DC, consider Verizon Wireless. It is the only cell phone service that works in DC's underground Metro Stations.

Other considerations are the convenience of personal service and locations. With over 30 locations in and around the DC area, AT&T (formerly Cingular) might be the right choice for you.
