Foggy Bottom is a college town in the middle of a big city. Luckily, campus life mixes well with the nation's capitol and students have lots of hip options for food and fun right in their neighborhood (not to mention the amazing internship opportunities all around).

For a quick bite on the go, students and locals love the GW Deli for sandwiches made to order. Tonic opened up their second location (first is in Mount Pleasant) right at 21/G and is perfect for that one-notch-above-dive-bar atmosphere including burgers, live music, and game watching. For the real sports bar scene though, in addition to notoriously cheap drinking, head over to McFaddens.

For a more upscale experience, maybe when the parents come to visit, check out DC foodie staple Kinkead's or enjoy an unforgettable French meal at Marcel's. Oh, and Shadow Room for the afterparty.
