The neighborhood of Petworth and the neighborhood of Manor Park to the North are a largely residential area in upper Northwest DC. The area is known for its suburban feel with thousands of brick row houses. The area also has several swaths of parks and cemeteries. Petworth and Manor Park are bordered by Aspen St. to the North, Rock Creek Church Rd. to the South, North Capitol Street and Blair Rd. to the East, and Georgia Ave. to the West.
Also be sure to check out Rock Creek Cemetery located in Petworth. The grounds were placed on the National Register of Historical Places and provide the final resting place for numerous civil war generals, national politicians, diplomats, ambassadors, Supreme Court judges, authors, inventors, and former DC Mayors.
