Atlas/TrinidadHousing | Points of Interest | Historical Information | TransportationOverviewThe Atlas and Trinidad neighborhoods are two areas that surround the south and east side of Gallaudet University. The Atlas neighborhood is actually named after a branding campaign to revitalize the historic Atlas Theater, now known as the Atlas Performing Arts Center. The area has seen a resurgence in the past decade with new restaurants, bars, and businesses moving to the H Street Corridor in what is often referred to as the Near Northeast area. The Trinidad neighborhood is just to the northeast of the Atlas District and is comprised of mostly residential housing and student housing for Gallaudet University. The area is bordered by New York Ave and Gallaudet University to the North, F St and Maryland Avenue to the South, Bladensburg Rd. to the East, and Union Station to the West.
